Wild Plughole Hides

Expedition to view wild plughole fails. Plugholes, like other wild creatures, can prove elusive. There are no guarantees.

Today I took my family (parents, sister and brother-in-law) to visit the wild plughole. They were disappointed to find that it was hiding somewhere, perhaps on holiday. The reason being that there was too much water and it had been replaced by a waterfall.

The Wild Plughole's understudy, a waterfall

The water was much higher in the pool than last time I went:

Like this, the pool almost looks deep enough to swim in! (Just not warm enough...)

Compare that to my previous photo of this pool:

Scenic pool

If they put the barrier up in summer it just might be deep enough to swim, carefully. But no wild plugholes. We had a good outing though, but I am too tired to blog about it all today, so I shall save that for another time.

So if you were considering an expedition of your own to see this amazing spectacle, please bear in mind that the plughole is a temperamental wild creature, not a tame plughole to perform at your bidding. It is worth finding, but there is an element of luck. Happy plughole hunting!
